    This online AP艺术与 设计 课程 is designed to maximize the learner experience, providing relevant Advanced Placement content and pedagogy through meaningful engagement – all focused on best 实践 for preparing your students for success. AP艺术与 设计 teachers, new or experienced, will explore all three portfolios: 2D, 3D and Drawing along with the Selected Works and the Sustained Investigation sections for 每一个投资组合. Included will be a studio for 每一个投资组合. Emphasis will be placed on developing strategies for the Sustained Investigation section in any of the portfolio offerings depending on the interest and experience of the participant. 将覆盖 be the Reading process, PowerPoints used in training for the 2023 Reading, mock Readings using the rubric for the 2023 Reading, process journal strategies, The College Board materials, and discussion of Pre-AP. Developing essential question approaches to best illustrate the investigation body of work will be 探索 along with studio practice developed from the participant’s Sustained Investigation theme. A PowerPoint illustrating the particular ideation for the investigation and reflection will be created and shared along with a small body of work. In this summer Institute the THREE portfolio offerings given by The College Board (2D 艺术 and 设计, Drawing, 3D 艺术 and 设计) will be 探索. Each part of the portfolio will be dissected by reviewing the reading process.  The Institute also will be an opportunity to share best 实践, advice and experiences 教学美联社. It also will be an opportunity to make art with an eye toward AP teaching 实践. In one of the sections, a mock reading will be 探索 to experience what 阅读是这样的. Other topics, such as idea development for investigation and selected works, will be 探索.  Participants will be expected to complete all Institute requirements, which will include completing a small-scale investigation based on essential questioning development and The College Board requirements. Participants will have ample opportunities to learn, acquire and share best teaching 实践 and walk away with practical materials and strategies to immediately promote active student-centered learning in the classroom, including ways to enhance visual literacy: how to help students develop skills in looking at, thinking about, and communicating ideas about 艺术作品. In addition, this session will directly address ways to seamlessly utilize digital images and computer-based multimedia technology into the AP艺术与 设计 课程. Finally, participants will be mentored to become “Readers” in a simulated reading of the AP examination and gain an understanding of the grading process.

    乔安米. 温克勒

    乔安米 温克勒 is a member of the Fine 艺术s Department at Clinton High School where she has served as chairman of the art department for over 35 years and has been an adjunct professor at Mt. St. Clare College in Clinton, Iowa. 乔安的学位是B.S. in 艺术 教育 from Northern Illinois University and an M.A. 艺术教育 Northeast Missouri State University. In addition, graduate credits have been earned from Carleton College, Maryland Institute College of 艺术, Rhode Island School of 设计, and the School of the 艺术 Institute of Chicago. Joann is a contributor to the National Vertical Team Guide for AP® Studio 艺术 and has written numerous articles, reviews, lessons, and curricula for the College Board program. Currently, Joann serves as a Reader or Table Leader for the AP® 艺术 and 设计 exams and has held this position 自2001年以来. She is also a consultant to the College Board® where she conducts workshops helping art teachers establish their own Advanced Placement Studio 艺术 programs or Pre-AP® 艺术 and 设计 programs. Joann also has presented a variety of workshops on AP topics for several state and national 艺术 教育 conventions. 她咨询 work has taken her throughout the United States 自2001年以来 to locations such as Colorado, Illinois, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Washington, as well as the Annual National AP Conference. When not working in the fine arts field, Joann enjoys photography, traveling, spending quality time with her family and friends, dining out, and attending as many theatrical productions as possible.
